Downstairs (my home outside my room)

Entrance Hall/Lounge Room
& Offices

I had the key to downstairs areas over the weekend and thought I would take some pics - since people have been asking to see it and I am not allowed to take pics when there are people (privacy concerns)

The place gets locked off and alarms set when the people working here goes home for the day, but the ones who live here can ask for permission to use it - for birthdays, family coming by, meetings etc. I got the key so I could decorate the entire place for Christmas. On Mondays and Thursdays, I usually hang out in the kitchen drinking tea and eating fruit during the day - just to get out of my room and be social. every other Monday we have House Meeting, where we talk about what is going on and if we have any issues. Every Monday evening we have dinner together where two of us can choose to cook whatever they want and then 3 people are randomly chosen to clean up afterwards.

Of course there is a lot more going on here, people living here participate in daily activities - but for now, I stick with twice a week. During Monday and Thursday, I also do EEG training, check up and grocery shopping with my contact person. And then every Tuesday I do laundry on my own.

Thanksgiving is over - now let Christmas begin! I was downstairs and out yesterday for EEG training and grocery shopping - shopping for all the cake baking I will be doing on Monday! I love how everyone working here got so excited about me baking a cake, but they wont be here! So they get none. Only two "adults" are going to be there - I hope they enjoy cinnamon cake!

I love how everyone is complaining about the weather (grey and rainy) and wether or not its okay to play Christmas music on the radio yet! And here I am just being all happy, loving the weather and listening to Chritsmas music. I also put up my Christmas tree, ate Risengrød, watch Christmas films and series, drink Christmas tea and walk around in Christmas sweaters! It´s the most wonderful time of the year! Aaaand I was just told yesterday that I will be given the key for the downstairs common rooms and kitchen over Christmas, so I can hang out downstairs instead of being alone in my room. So during Christmas eve I will be baking something delicious, make some tea and tell those who are here alone for Christmas, that they are welcome downstairs to some baked goods and a Christmas movie. No one should be alone on Christmas eve

Morning lovelies. today is laundry day - so literally just spending the entire day running back and forth between my room and the laundry room. Also, it has been bestowed on me to make a cake for house meeting on Monday - so day well spent looking for recipes as well! I don't bake much anymore, so it feels good to look through my Mette Blomsterberg recipe books. I like baking for others.

Yesterday was Monday and I participated in Monday Dinner downstairs - which is a weekly thing. We had rice/pasta with pasta sauce. It was actually really delicious and the evening was fun - way better than I expected! As most of you probably know I really struggle with being social, eating and especially those two combined. It went so well I even stayed later than the others, cleaning up the kitchen. I was of course exhausted when I got back to my room - but really looking forward to doing it again next Monday.

SelfCareSunday - miqura bubble mask ♡

Every Sunday I make sure to take good care of myself, whether it's a face mask, footbath or spray tan. Just one day where I feel girly and pretty. I have had this mask laying around for a while - I have a little box filled with different masks - and the other day I saw public speaker Camilla Framnes wear her bubble mask on Instagram story. Hers ended up more bubbly than mine though! It was definitely a fun mask to wear and though not as bubbly as I imagined - it was still very bubbly and it got in my mouth and nose easily as it kept sliding down - hindsight I should've probably lied down wearing it! The overall result - MY SKIN WAS SOOOO FREAKING SOFT AFTERWARDS! I absolutely love it and would definitely try it again!

Intro Trip (Friday5th - Saturday 6th)  - roughly 30 hours in a summer house with my contact person, getting to know each other and writing a report/answering a lot of personal questions! For me, it was also a huge challenge because of my OCD. Being there was surreal and nightmarish during night time. This was as much challenged as I can be without it damaging me further, and thankfully my contact person was there with me the whole time - in case something happened. Apart from OCD - it is actually a very nice summer house and we did watch some tv, ate sweets and had a good time. I was meant to sleep in that room above, but come bedtime it was just too big a challenge for me, so I slept on the 2 person sofa. Sleeping in the summer was a win no matter what I slept on - so I felt pretty good when we left. I DID IT! When I got home I was extremely exhausted physically and mentally, so I relaxed whilst watching Red Sparrow - that I just bought. And OMFG it is awesome!

Yesterday Morten and I were at Boxit in Kolding where we have a storage room together. Morten and I are going to see less of each other as we both started new chapters of our lives and we haven't been a couple for a very long time - so we decided to divide the things and get rid of what was left and no longer have a storage room. It was a very productive day, but also a bit sad. Got rid of a bunch of old things and saved a few good memories such as pictures and things from my childhood. The staff here have been so nice as to let me borrow some space in the basement for some of my old clothes and all my Christmas decorations - bless them! We, of course, donated all the clothes we don't need to Charity

During today and maybe the next few days there is going to be a few changes on the blog regarding design, colours and posts - so no need to panic or get confused. I decided it is time for a bit of change on here, but not too much change. I'm still me! This blog is officially no longer sponsored, but I still enjoy sharing my favourite products, artists and sites. Not much will change I promise.

Focusing on re-designing my blog is fun and exciting but it is also to distract me from current struggles. Biggest struggle right now is that I am going on an intro trip with my contact person Winni, to bond - and make contracts, make recovery plans and schedules. We leave Friday and get back Saturday, so only a one night stay. "ONLY" this is literally my worst nightmare. summerhouse, not OCD friendly, by the ocean... I feel like I can't do it, but doing it would be a good challenge and a really good way of showing her just how challenging and dominating my OCD is during my everyday life. And of course, there is the EATING! We do grocery shopping on the way there, cook meals and eat together. I can't weigh my food, count calories or throw away food... Basically, this entire trip will be like hell for me, but I am going to try and keep a positive mind - surely it won't kill me!

New Place & Pics from the Move

Here is downstairs of my new home. This is where the people who work here have their offices, there are common rooms with games and there are two kitchens that we can all use. Every other Monday we have house meetings, every Wednesday there are various activities for us to sign up for (outings, sports, things like that) and every Friday there is a cafe thing where everyone can come have tea and talk with the people working here. Living here is a huge challenge for me as there are a lot of activities and people! Some are going to London next month - but I said no thanks - maybe next time!

This is my apartment, one bedroom with own tea kitchen and own bathroom. I have the biggest apartment in the building - got lucky there! And the view isn't bad either. These are pics from right before I moved in and I will, of course, share pics over time showing you what it looks like now. You have seen the corner of my bedroom already!
