We ended up not having time to assemble the bed yesterday, so we just slept on the new mattresses on the floor, and I shit you not, it was freezing. And since they are two separate mattresses, every time we tried to cuddle for warmth, we were pushed apart. And then Haymitch was confused as to when it was appropriate to wake us up, so he started howling at 5.30! Absolutely exhausted, but we had the sofa coming early, so we had to be up and at it anyway. We got Lasse's parents' old sofa - a huge, lovely sofa! And after getting that into the apartment, Lasse's dad hung up a few things. Lasse had D&D from 13.00 to 21.30, so I spent the whole day putting the bed together, doing laundry, and assembling the sofa. Now we are going to shower, get into our new bed, and get some well-deserved sleep!

Woke up early today as we had an appointment for Haymitch at the vet at 8.15 to look at his eye. He has had this wound-ish thing by his eye for years and it keeps re-opening, although there is no oozing. The vet said that it could be a tumor or a cyst. Because he has had it for years and not had any other symptoms, it most likely isn't cancerous. But there is a lump behind the wound, so he got some shots and then we got some meds to take home that he has to be on for 2 weeks, then she will call and check up on him. He also got arthrosis in his hips, which she isn't going to do anything about - it just means he struggles jumping up on things and we already knew that. She said that other than that he was overall healthy and looked good. She was impressed by how well his teeth looked considering his age and he has been an outside cat. He behaved so well during the whole thing and he only hissed at her once when she gave him the second shot - but it was forgotten the second she gave him a treat. He is seriously such a friendly and easy cat and he will forgive anything if he gets food of any sort. 

After the vet, we went to get Lasse's dad's car, which is a van so it fits more. Went to IKEA to get some furniture and just stuff for our home. IKEA was hard work, especially for Lasse who did all the heavy lifting both loading the car and unloading it when we got home. We agreed to wait with moving the sofa till tomorrow, as it is easier for everyone.

I woke up early today - even though I planned on sleeping in as I didn't have school until 10.15 and I am so low on energy lately. But I woke up from a really terrible nightmare in a cold sweat and then anxiety and chest pain - a wonderful way to start the day! I showered, went to school, and after school Lasse and I went grocery shopping for the new apartment - as we won't have much time for it this weekend. Got tomorrow off, so we are taking Haymitch to the vet very early in the morning. Then we get our sofa delivered to the apartment, and Lasse's dad is going to hang up some stuff for us. Then we are going to IKEA to buy furniture and hopefully make it back at a decent time so we can have our first sleep at the new place. And during all that, I also have homework to do - not stressful at all 👀 Lasse will be busy both Saturday and Sunday, so I will be alone with Haymitch doing my homework and binging series ♡

 The New Apartment 

Got the keys (or chips) to the new apartment today. Also got this welcome bag with a tote bag, a fun conversation game, and some other practical stuff. The doors are electronic instead of keys, there is a closed-off parking basement under the building, and we also get a storage room in the basement. 

There are elevators that also go down to the parking basement, as well as, of course, stairs. 

Inside the apartment, there is a door phone with a camera to look outside the very front door. 

In the kitchen there is an oven, and next to the oven are the fridge and freezer. Then the stove and the rest are just cabinet space. There is also a dishwasher and lots of space. 

The kitchen is open - so the kitchen, living room, and dining area is one big room! From the living room area, there is a door to access the balcony. 

Then there is the bedroom with lots of closet space - although not a lot of shelves, so we are going to add that later on. 

This is the spare bedroom which we will use as a gamer room/office. And more closet space! 

And the most beautiful bathroom with both washing machine and dryer. 

The entire apartment has heated floors and the thermostat has a few other cool settings we haven't figured out how to use yet. 

 

I sat in the cafeteria at school today, studying, and then this girl sat by the piano and started playing Yiruma's "River Flows in You" and "Kiss the Rain," which completely threw me back to 2012 when I was last in school. Back then, these songs and anything from Twilight were all that was played at the cafeteria piano. I needed that so much today, just pure nostalgia. After school, I was exhausted and ended up napping - again! Now I am trying to focus on homework and just wish today could be over soon! Getting the keys to the apartment tomorrow, and the wait is unbearable. Excited to share it all with you ♡

 

Lasse and I had the most lovely brunch at Oksen, Horsens. We have talked about this for a while now but something has kept coming up - now we've got to do it! It was wonderful. the food and the atmosphere. We got the perfect spot, and we enjoyed it all very much. I love not only that we do these things together but also that I am able to - as I wasn't always able to due to OCD and didn't think I ever would. I enjoy moments like these so much, and I appreciate the privilege of having this in my life. And of course, I appreciate how much Lasse is spoiling me. He makes me so happy, and I love how he looks at me. 

After brunch, we went for a drive, then he dropped me off at home. He plays D&D with friends on Sundays, and I needed to get some homework done before school starts tomorrow. Only three weeks left of school, then exams start, and after that 10 weeks off for the summer - which, with the whole moving situation happening, could not be more perfect. 

I am going to put something on the telly, wind down, and then sleep ♡ Goodnight, lovelies 

 

Today was really exciting - something I've looked forward to! Lasse and I went to look at apartments (a couple in the same building), though we already have our eyes set on one. Still not feeling well at all, but I have to admit this had me in a really good mood. This apartment is so beautiful and just perfect for us. The contract will be sent tomorrow, and then we will go from there. It is right by the water, so we also walked down to look at that, and we saw a seal pop its head up out of the water. We got to spend some time with Lasse's mum as well. Then we went for a short drive before dropping me off at home so I could get some homework and laundry done. Right now I am going to watch a film and then sleep - returning to school tomorrow ♡

Been unwell all weekend and was definitely not well this morning, but I made it to school and stayed the whole day. On top of not feeling well, my OCD was triggered a lot at school. Proud of myself for going and for pushing through. When I got home, I sat down with some work and an early dinner. Then Lasse came by with some packages and helped with some practical stuff. The rest of the day has been spent doing homework, and now I am listening to music and resting - been feeling poorly, and I am showing symptoms of a blood clot, so I should get that looked at. On a more positive note, I was contacted today by some students doing an assignment on Goodiebox, and they wanted my help/input, which I gladly accepted! Excited to see what they come up with, and I hope I helped them ♡ Sorry about the lack of personal content lately, it will get better. Just been sick and busy - not a great mix!
