We were able to borrow the really nice apartment again this weekend. We got here yesterday, and we wanted to do something easy for dinner, but somehow ended up cooking an entire Christmas dinner. Spent last night playing games and watching series. Today we slept in, boyfriend went grocery shopping while I cleaned up from yesterday. Then we just cuddled up on the sofa, binge-watching series. For dinner, I wanted to try something new and exciting - so we had escargots as starters. I had a hard time with the texture but was so much fun to try and would definitely do it again... in a few years! Actually really proud of myself for trying this and going through with it. I finished my portion! As the main course, we had quails which was also a first, and honestly, I was pretty nervous about cooking this entire meal in general as the smoke detector started beeping the second I turned the oven on - for no reason other than clearly mocking me. But nothing was burnt, and we all survived. For dessert, I made Mette Blomsterbergs Lemon Creme Filled Pancakes, which is very easy to make, and boyfriend practically inhaled it - to be fair it is THAT good! This evening has been so romantic and exactly how I imagined it. Just perfect ♡ 

 

We are having the laziest day here today. We slept in, made breakfast, and watched Rings of Power.  Tonight we are having chicken for dinner, and then we are going to play some games, listen to music, and watch Klovn. We were really hoping for some snow, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Regardless of the weather, we are still having a fun and romantic little getaway. Cannot express how much I needed this break and to just be smothered in cuddles, kisses, foot massages, and being spoiled. I am very lucky and very happy ♡
