Shopping today was absolute madness! Gosh there were so many people - which was expected but still really overwhelming. Boyfriend and I both get really high anxiety in crowded places but with good communication, breathing and a few breaks we actually made it. So proud of ourselves for how far we have come with this. We got almost everything we needed for New Years Eve - we even bought a new raclette, because the one his parents had was really worn out. After shopping together we both went shopping by ourselves for non New Years groceries as well. Safe to say this has been a really long and tiring day - but so happy now that it is done. Now I got some practical stuff at home to get sorted, then relax for a bit and maybe work for a bit later. Enjoying the fireworks outside - although it is a little early. Hope everyone is staying safe and minding their pets as well ♡

30th Birthday Dinner at Flammen with the boyfriend ♡

 

Happy 30th to me! ♡ Had a lovely and very romantic birthday. Boyfriend took me out to dinner. He picked me up at home and then gave me the cutest card with a llama on which both he and his parents wrote - it was so adorable. We drove to the restaurant and then we got seated in this perfect little corner where we received welcome drinks and there was a flag on the table. He ordered the All Inclusive for us both which was unlimited buffet foods (which included 15 different kinds of meat that is grilled right in front of you and cut fresh, 50 kinds of salad, and more) and unlimited drinks, wine included. And of course, we rounded off with dessert - and by then my stomach was hurting so bad from eating way too much, but it was worth it! Boyfriend was so sweet in helping me with the whole buffet and grill thing - I get shy in these situations. And caught him staring at me, smiling all the time - looking madly in love - so cute! He made my birthday perfect! And in general, makes my life better ♡ So grateful for him being in my life  

Christmas Lunch ♡

 

Today I was at Christmas lunch with my boyfriend's entire family - which included a lot of food and schnapps! It is a Danish tradition to eat fish and drink schnapps at these things - I don't do well with schnapps though, so I mainly stuck to wine. It was a lot of fun but I feel bad that my energy level wasn't the same as the rest of the family - I tire very easily in social situations and I did just celebrate Christmas with my family yesterday as well. Also, boyfriend's family are VERY loud! My energy level did go up a little bit at the end of the evening when boyfriend and I beat his dad and brother at table football - and I got to mock the losers afterward! Yes, I am that kind of winner! I enjoy being with boyfriend and his family and I love how they all just welcomed me in ♡

Now we only got my birthday and then New Year's Eve left - then I am more than ready to get back to normal life and school. I need my routines back, thanks!

From the boyfriend I got a whole new wardrobe and ear pods. From boyfriends parents I got invited along on a family vacation.

Christmas in Kolding with My Family

 

I celebrated Christmas Eve with my family in Kolding - that being my grandad, mum, sister and my sister's boyfriend. Very quiet evening and had fun speaking English around my family - Sister's boyfriend doesn't speak a lot of Danish yet, but he is practising and getting a lot better. My boyfriend picked me up afterwards and then we sat with his parents for a bit having a few drinks - now ready for bed so we can get some rest before Christmas lunch with his family tomorrow ♡

SelfCareSunday ♡ Miqura Peel-Off Glitter Mask

 

I ended up having a bad IBD flare-up late last night lasting all night, so today I am pretty exhausted and really sore. Just got home and now I am going to do some self-pampering and then just relax. Tomorrow I am going to tidy up my apartment and do some cleaning. So I need some rest and later a good night's sleep  ♡

 

We were able to borrow the really nice apartment again this weekend. We got here yesterday and we wanted to do something easy for dinner but somehow ended up cooking an entire Christmas dinner. Spent last night playing games and watching series. Today we slept in, boyfriend went grocery shopping while I cleaned up from yesterday. Then we just cuddled up on the sofa binging series. For dinner I wanted to try something new and exciting - so we had escargots as starters. I had a hard time with the texture but was so much fun to try and would definitely do it again... in a few years! Actually really proud of myself for trying this and going through with it. I finished my portion! As the main course, we had quails which also was a first and honestly was pretty nervous about cooking this entire meal in general as the smoke detector started beeping the second I turned the oven on - for no reason other than clearly mocking me. But nothing was burnt and we all survived. For dessert I made Mette Blomsterbergs Lemon Creme Filled Pancakes which is very easy to make and boyfriend practically inhaled it - to be fair it is THAT good! This evening has been so romantic and exactly how I imagined it. Just perfect ♡ 

 

I PASSED! Really didn't think I would though. I had an anxiety attack 2 minutes into my exam. I was freaking out, got tunnel vision, had trouble breathing, and just had tears and snot down my face. I told the teacher and supervisor that I knew I wasn't going to pass now and asked them what would happen if I walked out - my teacher convinced me to stay and he helped me through it. They were both so kind and understanding in that situation and I will forever be grateful for that. I passed and I get to stay at school. After the exam, I called the boyfriend who was on his way to pick me up and I was still crying - getting it out of my system and just crying of relief. We went out for lunch to celebrate and afterward, I went to visit the old recovery place I used to live at. Was good to see them again and it did feel like visiting home. I do miss them and I miss living there - but honestly, it is also really nice to have come this far and then come "home" to brag about school and that I am doing well. The people who work there are always happy to hear how we are all doing after leaving ♡

All in all, a really good day ♡ Now I am off school till January! 

 

Tomorrow is my final exam (chemistry) of the year. I must pass this exam to continue at school and keep my apartment. I was meant to stay with the boyfriend the days leading up to but then I changed my mind. Then yesterday I changed my mind again and he picked me up - what am I like?! So he picked me up with all my stuff for studying. He is dog-sitting for his mum for a few days - which now means we are dog-sitting. He is at work now, so I am at the house alone studying and receiving love from all the pets! I am really enjoying the fresh air out here and the scenery - so beautiful with all the snow. Anyways, wish me luck tomorrow ♡

We are having the laziest day here today. We slept in, made breakfast, and watched Rings of Power.  Tonight we are having chicken for dinner, and then we are going to play some games, listen to music and watch Klovn. We were really hoping for some snow, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Regardless of the weather, we are still having a fun and romantic little getaway. Cannot express how much I needed this break and to just be smothered in cuddles, kisses, foot massages, and being spoiled. I am very lucky and very happy ♡
