Roadtrip to Jordrup & Vejen

 

Boyfriend and I went on a road trip to Jordrup so he could see where I used to live and go to school. I lived 3 places in this small village and here are pictures of the school I went to (4th-7th grade), the grocery store, and the riding school I used to go to. That is it - that is Jordrup. Not much but I absolutely loved living there. Who would've guessed I used to be a country girl! I enjoyed showing the boyfriend around and the weather was absolutely perfect for it - for me at least ♡

We also drove to Vejen to drop by and visit Kirsten (my old daycare mum who was like a second mother to me till she passed away from cancer) I miss her a lot every day and every time something happens in my life I wish I could share it with her ♡

How is the cat doing?

 

He is doing really well - he settled in so fast. I was really nervous about him getting into stuff, climbing on furniture, and keeping me up at night, but he is actually very well-behaved. I eat at my coffee table which is the perfect height for him to get to it, but he does respect it when I tell him no - he just turns his back to me and sulks. He doesn't keep me awake at night, but despite him having a bed that is half the size of my sofa where I sleep, he prefers sleeping by my side. I tug him into his own bed and then at night he comes to the sofa and snuggles up - which leaves less room for me on my already too-tiny sofa. I enjoy the love though. And I was nervous about being away from home during the day when I am at school, but he seems to handle it very well. He struggled with peeing, pooping, and throwing up inside where he was before, but here he is using the litterbox and I found out why he throws up at his old home (we still visit so he can play outside with his brother and I can spend weekends with the boyfriend) he is overeating when he is there because of his brother. He overeats and then he eats plants to throw up. He doesn't do that at my place, but since we are going to visit still, I am going to teach him patience and to eat slowly. The whole thing is an adjustment but it is going way better than I expected and I love him. Glad he is enjoying city life ❤ 

Weekend with Boyfriend ♡

Haymitch and I spent the weekend at boyfriend's place. Haymitch's brother lives there as well and they get to run outside together / although he didn't seem very interested in doing so. I love staying at that house and despite the creepy crawlies that come with the countryside / I feel at home when I am there. Friday night we ate Mexican food and sat in the living room watching Dicte. Saturday we slept in, took a long shower, and played pool in the newly renovated bar room. We also cooked a very late dinner which was delicious and then had some drinks while playing some more. Sunday his parents were there and they made yellow peas with pork - which I have heard my grandad talking about several times, but this was my first time trying it - it was good! Boyfriend ended up baking a cinnamon cake for late dessert before going to bed. Haymitch and I got home this morning and I am just not feeling well at all this morning, so I am not going to school. Will however prep for school tomorrow - I am excited to get started! ♡

Haymitch Abernathy II ♡

 

Say hello to my new cat Haymitch Abernathy II (I named him - he was formally known as Rita) ♡ He is 11 years old and has until now lived with the boyfriend's parents - but unfortunately, they wanted to put him down (he pees, poops, and pukes all over the house and is in constant need of attention) So I talked to my building society and they allowed for me to get a cat. Cats and dogs are allowed in the building - but usually only when you have them when moving into the building. Glad I get to take care of this little orange furball from now on. I am aware that it is going to be a challenge as he isn't litter trained and has to adjust to a whole new life. But both boyfriend's parents agree that he was definitely meant to be an indoor spoiled cat - and now he will be. I thankfully don't have a lot of hours at school and I work from home - so he won't be alone too much. And when going for weekends and longer stays with the boyfriend, Haymitch gets to stay at his house. Glad I got to take him instead of him being put down. He was a little scared during the car ride here, but once we got into my apartment he started walking around, checking things out and he started eating and drinking almost straight away - which is a very good sign ♡ He is so adorable and perfect for me.
